If you aren't working with an agent, or are just too excited to wait, you can visit the community's website and apply now directly from the website.

An application fee and deposit, in the form of earnest money, places the apartment on hold while we complete the screening process. The screening process verifies credit, rental, criminal history and household income. Once this is completed, the application will either be accepted, accepted with conditions, or denied. This process takes anywhere from just a couple of minutes up to five business days. An agent at the community will update you when the screening process is complete, with the outcome and next steps.

Centerspace uses a third party screening company to process all rental applications. This process includes a verification of credit, rental history, income and criminal background. Income to rent ratios may vary based on local or state requirements. For more information, please visit our rental criteria page.

Yes, a deposit, often referred to as earnest money at the time of application is required to reserve a home. The quick answer is sometimes. If a utility service is billed by the provider directly to the resident, in the resident's name, the resident is responsible for setting the utility up.
